What's are Desktop Takeover wallpapers?
Desktop Takeover Wallpaper is a new type of a desktop background.
This new type of wallpaper is just like regular static desktop backgrounds except they may contain self-updating images from photo albums, webcams, etc.
The goal was to create a portable wallpaper file, filled with dynamic content, which can be shared easily in an on-line world.
To apply these wallpapers to your desktop you will need to download the software and import the .dtw file.
Once you have the software installed all you need to do is double-click on dtw file to launch the app and apply the layout.
What are .dtw files?
DTW (Desktop Takeover Wallpaper) is a new wallpaper file format that describes a new type of wallpaper.
The goal was to create a new wallpaper file format in such way, so if shared with other people (i.e. friends and family), it would display
the same photo albums, webcam views as you would see on your own computer.
How to create .dtw files?
Use File Export feature of the software to export your wallpaper layout to a dtw file.
How do I use .dtw files?
Use File Import feature of the software to import the wallpaper layout contained in a dtw file.
Importing a dtw file automatically loads the layout into the program but does not apply it to your desktop.
Press the Apply button on the toolbar once you imported the file into the application.
You only need to import a dtw file once. Use Load layout once a file is already imported.
